I taught Prenatal Yoga for 8+ years before being pregnant myself.
Here’s what changed once I was pregnant:
It was harder to talk and teach at the same time.
Hehe 🤭 IYKYK 🤰🏼😮💨 In all seriousness, I loved teaching prenatal yoga before being pregnant and I love it now too!! A lot of people have asked me if anything changed now that I’m pregnant myself, and the main difference is that it’s harder to talk and breathe and demo poses at the same time 😅.
Of course now that I’ve been able to experience prenatal yoga firsthand throughout my pregnancy, I can feel how much it’s helped me (mentally and physically, hello sciatica!!) and now I want to share prenatal yoga with even more yoga teachers!! 🥰
I share this post to remind you that even if you haven’t been pregnant yourself, you can still teach prenatal yoga! Trust me, I know the feeling of panic when a pregnant woman joins your group vinyasa class 🤪. If you’re a yoga teacher, I can guarantee you at some point you will have a pregnant student join your class (if it hasn’t happened already) and having the certification to teach Prenatal & Postnatal Yoga will ease so many of your worries!! You’ll finally know exactly what poses and modifications to offer pregnant students.
I’ve added one last live cohort round online for this year!! We’ll start on May 28 and it will include access to the full on demand course, 4 calls, plus a private group on WhatsApp for support and accountability!
