This 50-hour training prepares you to confidently guide women through all trimesters of pregnancy and support them in their postnatal recovery. Certified with Yoga Alliance Continuing Education hours, this course provides everything you need to start teaching and sharing prenatal and postnatal yoga, with a special emphasis on safety, modifications, and techniques specific to each stage.
In the prenatal portion, you’ll learn how to nurture pregnant women by understanding each trimester’s unique needs, modifying poses and group classes, and using meditations and pranayamas tailored to pregnancy. This section covers essential safety protocols and teaches you how to offer an empowering, mindful experience for your prenatal students.
The postnatal portion offers insights into when and how to safely reintroduce yoga after birth, including classes for both mothers alone and parent-baby sessions. You’ll learn to sequence postnatal classes and support new mothers’ recovery journeys.

Feedback from past students:
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ “I did my RPYT with Lauren, Island Prenatal Yoga in 2020. We got a well prepared manual with a wide range of important information. This includes Pranayama, Meditation, Asanas, Anatomy, Sequences, Teaching skills etc. and I loved every part of it. All the videos and online lectures were great to get more deep into the topic. Lauren is a lovely teacher with knowledge, a good spirit, a big heart and it is possible to ask her questions anytime. I am so happy that I chose Island Prenatal Yoga as my teaching school for my next step in my yoga journey and say THANK YOU for having me.”
